I’ve recently began playing around with Basecamp, testing its value as a project management tool. Though I haven’t done much with it yet, it looks like a pretty kick-ass application, and well worth the monthly fee if required for you project.
One caveat so far:
You can only assign administrative privileges to people within the primary company (that of the primary account holder). This is somewhat discouraging news. If we are working with 3rd-party clients, they will have limited actions in Basecamp as far as adding/managing content. Of course, this is a nice security feature. However, it would be nice to have the option of granting certain outsiders administrative access.
